Plasma Bigscreen
Plasma Bigscreen was a software project from KDE which contained an interface optimized for Smart TVs and other computers such as the Raspberry Pi which can be connected to large displays.
Software
The desktop environment was based on KDE Plasma 5. Voice control was provided through integration with Mycroft AI. Plasma Bigscreen supported HDMI-CEC.
Availability
Plasma Bigscreen was available as a KDE Neon-based image, or was installable on postmarketOS. It is currently not available due to being unmaintained for too long. As of 7/10/2025, Plasma Bigscreen has been worked on more and is available in the AUR.
