Lenovo Ideapad 10 Key specs: 10' netbook with capacitive touchscreen Intel Atom large internal hdd good testing workhorse. Balsam Professional 12.1 runs without BIOS Patch Installation without any complication through Live Installer MeeGo This device is also used by MeeGo as demo hardware for their discontinued Netbook UX. openSUSE 11.4 openSUSE 11.4 runs fine on this hardware, including the touchscreen, suspend, etc. Multitouch does not work, unknown why, it works on MeeGo. Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 Key specs: 10' tablet at 1280x800 Intel Oak Trail platform Intel Atom Z670 processor GMA600 video card Balsam Professional / openSUSE 12.1 The Balsam 12.1 LiveCD runs correctly, except for the VGA mode. It starts in 1024x768x16 mode instead of 1280x800x32. You can get the colour depth of 32 by passing the vga=ask option to the kernel and then selecting 1024x768x32. Unfortunately, the current graphics driver psb_gfx version does not support the native resolution. The graphics driver doesn't provide any acceleration, therefore the overall performance is rather poor. It should improve if the effects are disabled. Games that don't require fast framerate work correctly (KSudoku 2D, KMahjong). None of the powersaving options work (turning off the screen, changing the brightness of the screen, suspending), so the battery only holds for 4 hours as opposed to 8 on Windows. Everything else works correctly (touchscreen, Plasma Active features etc.). HP Slate 500 Key specs: Display: 8.9' tablet at 1024x600 Chipset: Intel System Controller Hub (SCH) US15W CPU: Intel Atom Z540 RAM: 2GB Storage: 32/64 GB SSD Meego 1.2 The System needs a custom Kernel with support for brcmsmac and hid_ntrig to get WIFI and Touchscreen working .The brcm firmware has to be placed in /lib/firmware which you can get form here linux-firmware.git if it is not installed on your system. EMGD driver needs patches from the yocto project to compile on 3.x kernels, you can get patches from here yocto-git. Provides the native resolution of 1024x600 with correct xorg configuration along with OpenGL 2.1 and OpenGL ES 1.0 support. Powersaving Device does not wake up from suspend Changing brightness does not work Multitouch not tested. Pen Input not tested due lack of a Pen. ASUS Eee Slate EP121 Key specifications: 12.1' tablet at 1280x800 Intel® Core™ i5 1.33Ghz Dual Core 470UM Intel® HD Graphics Wacom touchscreen multitouch RAM: 4GB Storage: 64 GB SSD (Sandisk) ASUS G-Sensor (not working yet?)
