KDE provides Jabber services through the KDETalk.net service. Jabber (also known as XMPP) is a federated protocol for Instant Messaging, and supports both one-to-one as well as group chats.
All contributors are free to register a
kdetalk.net address through their Jabber client of choice, and no interaction with the sysadmins is needed. You can use
kdetalk.net as hostname. Your address will end up like
Those contributors who currently hold a kde.org email address may request a
[email protected] Jabber account by filing a ticket. We will create an account for you, and we will assign a random password. If you have working email encryption, be sure to mention the details in the ticket so we can send it encrypted to you.
