KCharSelect is a tool to select special characters from all installed fonts and copy them into the clipboard.

You can browse characters by their category or quickly find a certain character by searching for its name. KCharSelect displays various information about the selected character. This includes not only the Unicode character name, but also aliases, general notes and cross references to similar characters. For technical use, different representations of the character are shown. KCharSelect also contains <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_unification">Unihan</a> data for East Asian characters to display English definitions and different pronunciations.

Features (optional): KDELirc consists of two parts:

  1. A systemtray applet named IRKick which acts as a proxy between the LIRC system and D-Bus. It maps between remote actions and configured D-Bus requests to control and to launch programs.
  2. A control module which features:
        1. Overview of
               * installed remote controls, with mapping to predefined configurations (if given)
               * configured modes and actions for the remote controls
               * available profile bindings for program controlling
        2. Configuration of
               * application bindings to remote control buttons manually or by given profiles
               * application bindings grouping for each remote into modes
