2020

KDE is at FOSS-North in 2020 with a community day and a booth (maybe a talk if it gets accepted).

  • Conference Site Dates: march 29 - april 1, 2020. Place: Chalmers Conference Centre, Gothenburg, Sweden Open Street Map
  • Call for Participation on -community and -ev-membership

Booth

The booth is a lot like FOSDEM: one table, and we can hand out stickers, demo products, and sell T-shirts.

  • Adriaan has a laptop with a promo film
  • Adriaan has a rock64 with Plasma desktop, but no screen

There's a big-ish KDE logo banner. About 200 stickers, some postcards to give away.

TODO

  • Order T-shirts there, for sales (maybe 30?)
  • Order beer mats
  • Borrow a monitor for the rock64

Community Day

We have the opportunity to run a community day in-house somewhere in the city (maybe with FreeBSD).

TOPICS

  • CMake for beginners (it doesn't have to hurt)
  • KDE translation (even if Swedish is already at 100%)
  • The QML scenegraph
  • FreeBSD as a KDE development environment
