Boat is an ocean liner... named Titanic and about to hit and iceberg

Connecting to random network is cumbersome
Playing media on other devices is cumbersome (e.g. youtube on tablet -> TV)

Need a way to monitor my budget
Just not interested, OK with Microsoft Windows almost for free (as a student)
It is too difficult to install the language package
Multi-language spell checking
Spell checking per contact
Don't know how to install ppt Office for homework
Compatibility with MS ecosystem

Observers Notes

Sharing data with devices and people: same or different?
Developers are still focussing on their specialist areas (e.g. IM important for Telepathy people)
Lots of talk/aruments about boats, sebas didn't care, metaphore?
Wifi connection: simple vs powerful
Importance of social networking
Is social networking our job?
Carla is "forced" to use KDE, she has quite some money: why not pay for a Mac or Windows?
We often miss the last mile of polishing and sometimes the first

Observers Notes

=== Identifying Anchors ===
-Quite a few doubts of how the game works
-Identified that carla has a problem with hardware support (Iphone, screens)
-It seems that there is some difficulties on detecting problems (specially Raj)

==== GROUPS ====
-The problems from the underlaying system were instantly identified
-The rest of the group took some more time but quite quickly overall
-Difficult to install and discover application, people is even afraid of doing that
 (general agreement)
Sharing group:
-We need a way of distributing resources (scripts, wallpapers, etc).
        -Must be open :)
-SLC should offer a way of integrating it in within the app
-Be able to setup a local "kde-apps" to share installed resources

System Settings:
-Every body said "Well all sticky notes is just bitching" but all of
them agreed that it is a completely mess.
-Mouse theme location is used as an example, where to put it? it seems
to be some agreement that it should be under Appearance, and 1 person is on
the idea that we should have only 1 appearance.
-Everybody uses the search in system settings
-Some kind of agreement that the place is not really important as long as it
     is consistent.

Poor Internet connection:
-Implement in all application context and activity awareness
-Some people make funny faces when activity is mentioned
-There is a moment where everybody agrees on "Wait, but they are internet apps
maybe they should not work with internet"
-People realize that maybe the problem is notifying the user that internet is off and help the user to understand / fix that.
-A new anchor is added because everybody agrees that nevertheless we need to notify network availability right.
-Initial topic is brought again, and everybody agrees that being able to work offline
is important for many applications such KMail, AddressBooK etc while not so important
    for twitter.

Codec Installation:
-Everybody agrees instantly that it is a problem
-Some technical discussion happen, everybody agrees that we should try to fix this *again.

Performance:
-Nepomuk is mentioned, a few laugh
    -Akonadi is mentioned, all laugh
-Wayland is mentioned, all smile expecting something from it.
