  • Before reporting, check in the reporting system contains similar bugs reports
  • Carefully read advice within the wizard's pages
  • Specify your operating system version and application's version
  • Attach an example file or paste a link to it if the file is large
  • Offer to send a sample file privately to core developer(s) if the file is confidential
  • Attach screen shots if this helps to explain better

Read these detailed rules.

In case of crashes

Linux only (without AppImages): If the application or library crashes then on Linux with KDE desktop, Dr Konqi utility will appear and guide you through the process of reporting the crash. Learn how to install and use the tool in the article How to create useful crash reports.

If the Dr Konqui is not available (that is for Windows, macOS, or AppImages) you still can provide valuable report. We will work on providing debugging tools for these systems.

More

In addition to reporting new bugs or wishes you can help by verifying if the current bug reports and wishes are up-to-date and complete. Use the KDE’s bugs tracker.
