KDE-Telepathy's chat window supports Adium's messageStyle themes.

Installation

  1. download the desired theme from here
  2. extract the archive content to ~/.kde4/share/apps/ktelepathy/styles/
  3. select the desired theme from chat window's settings

Here is a list to keep track of the status of Adium themes on kde-telepathy's chat window.

Ruler Silver Consecutive messages are not in the bubble
Smooth Operator (from Adium repo) Silver Header covers the top messages but there is a button to hide the header. There are a few visual issues (different in different variants)
SmoothSeparateLines Gold The screenshots show that the sender should be displayed for every message, but it's not for consecutive message. I suspect that this could happen for other themes
Sticker Style Bronze Does not show baloons
Stockholm (from Adium repo) Gold The avatars seem to be outside of the window
Succint Gold Header covers the top messages that are hard to read

Coly Rubbish The name in the dropdown menu is wrong (Actually because the Info.plist file is info.plist instead). Default font is so small that it is impossible to read anything. Using a custom font aligment are completely wrong.

iMessages Platinum Very slow to load
minimal_mod (from Adium repo) Platinum Variant "SenderColor SingleLine" displays "%sender%" for status messages, for the rest is perfect, the header covers the top messages, but disappears automatically when you scroll to the top

xMous Gold Timestamps are very small with default font.

Rating:

  • Platinum: Perfect
  • Gold: Perfect but with some minor glitch
  • Silver: Usable, but with some major display problem
  • Bronze: Almost usable but with some major bug (messages/status not displayed, etc) or serious graphic bugs
  • Rubbish: Unusable
