This is a new page, currently under construction!

The following pages deal with the translation of KDE programs, especially the translation into German. Frequently used abbreviations in this context are “i18n” for “internationalization” and “l10n” for “localization”.

These pages are intended to provide information to those interested who want to study this topic in more detail and who intend to actively participate in the translation of KDE into German. However, they are also intended to be an orientation aid for those who have already been active and want to be up to date. Anyone with additional questions or suggestions can contact the German translators mailing list or the coordinators directly.

The KDE French translation project offers you the following activities: French translation of KDE applications. You can consult the status of translations, the dictionary of common phrases and contact: Vincent Pinon; French translation of KDE documentation. You can consult the status of translations, the dictionary of common phrases and contact: Simon Depiets; French version of the official KDE website. fr.kde.org

If you are already ready to start translating applications and documentation, you can reserve untranslated files in the reservations section. Otherwise, contact the discussion list or one of the coordinators (Vincent Pinon, Simon Depiets or Frédéric Sheedy). They will be happy to answer your questions.

Several hundred people (developers, translators, graphic designers ...) already participate in the KDE project, we encourage all new contributions. The KDE project offers you an unforgettable adventure!

All contributions will be welcomed.
