If KDE e.V. supporting member scheme becomes popular with UK taxpayers we should consider becoming a charity to claim back the Gift Aid

Legal Status

We are an unincorporated membership society with a constitution and a bank account at Bank of Scotland run by Jonathan Riddell. You can apply for membership by writing to the secretary (Kenny Duffus). Membership is open to all e.V. members in Britain and any other active KDE contributor in Britain.

At our October 2010 meeting we agreed to register as a charity, this will let us claim back Gift Aid on Join the Game donations. Jonathan has now dropped this idea, the paperwork needed seems excessive for something with little backing from KDE e.V.

In 2019 the e.V. board put a block on activities of KDE GB. With no sign of this being lifted the organisaton was shut down. The Bank of Scotland account is now closed and money transfered to e.V. The Paypal account is also closed.
