If Amarok is not present for whatever reason, it can be installed using the graphical tool to Install & Remove software (rpmdrake), or typing in a terminal as root the following:
su urpmi amarok
- Mageia 5: Amarok 2.8
- Mageia 4: Amarok 2.8
- Mageia 3: Amarok 2.7.1. This version of Mageia is no longer supported.
- Mageia 2: Amarok 2.5.0. This version of Mageia is no longer supported.
- Mageia 1: Amarok 2.4.1. This version of Mageia is no longer supported.
Phonon-gstreamer is installed by default, but phonon-vlc is also available. To install phonon-vlc just type in a terminal as root:
su urpmi phonon-vlc
Phonon-xine is also available, but not recommended.
