This place opened as a community-owned recreational place for the workers of the heavy industries once present in the area. Today, the factories are gone, but the people who worked there still love to keep their traditions going. It is now one of the last places in Milan where grandmothers cook and you can enjoy the real Milanese cuisine for a very small price. Don't forget to ask for Mondeghili or a famous Cotoletta for lunch or have a couple of boiled eggs next to a spritz for under five euros. Oh, and it's just 10 minutes away from the uni!
