Schedules/Applications/15.08 Release Schedule

All deadlines are due 23:59 UTC, but if you need a few more hours, notify someone from the release team.

Applications in 15.08 can be based on kdelibs4 or KDE Frameworks 5 at maintainers decision, basically we will release whatever is in master of the repository. Please make sure all your dependencies or people that depend on you are aware of your decision to not cause problems.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015: KDE Applications 15.04 Message Freeze

All translated messages (GUI strings) are frozen on this date. Only previously untranslated strings or clear errors in strings can be fixed. No major new strings changes should be done. You cannot add new strings, if you really need one ask kde-i18n-doc for an exception. It is ok to remove strings.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015: KDE Applications 15.04 API Freeze

To allow the bindings people to have proper time to do their work in preparation to the final release, the API should now be fixed. Changing API is allowed, but commits have to be cc'ed to the kde-bindings mailinglist. This is including older APIs and newly introduced libraries/APIs.

Frozen: no changes to new dependencies, UI, features, artwork.

Beta is tagged (tag name is v15.07.80). As soon as the tarballs have been confirmed to build and the Release Team thinks they meet enough quality it will be released

Release Candidate is tagged (tag name is v15.07.90). As soon as the tarballs have been confirmed to build and the Release Team thinks they meet enough quality it will be released

Wednesday, August 12, 2015: KDE Applications 15.08 Tagging

The branch is frozen for final release tagging (tag name is v15.08.0). Only urgent fixes, such as those fixing compilation errors, should be committed.

Wednesday, August 19, 2015: KDE Applications 15.08 Release

Final release is released for general consumption.
