What do we want KDE to be?

Proposal of a definition

KDE is an international community (of programmers, artists, etc.) that provides an ecosystem for people to collaborate on developing libre software for anyone to use freely and for the good of mankind.

  • A first proposal of an open and inclusive vision. Comments, editing, adding more sentences to elaborate on that welcome (Clemens Toennies)
